Blood by name - the word hematite comes from the Greek for blood, because the raw stone turns deep red when ground down. Polished, it takes on a metallic grey that shifts between black and silver as it catches the light. It's also one of the densest stones used in jewellery, giving it a real weight around the neck. Finished with a 925 sterling silver clasp, this is a piece that holds its own, whether worn solo or stacked.

We make two ranges. Our sterling silver pieces are solid 925 sterling silver, hallmarked in line with UK regulations. Our stainless steel pieces are 316L stainless steel with an 18k gold plated finish, in yellow, white or rose gold. Each product page lists exactly what that piece is made of.
Exceptions: some pieces combine silver with other materials, such as pearls or stone beads on a 925 sterling silver clasp, or enamel and cubic zirconia details. Some silver pieces are 18ct gold plated, and some steel pieces have an oxidised black finish instead of plating.
